Nearly 25,000 households in south-east Queensland were left without power on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the area, generating wind gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Widespread Destruction

Emergency response teams received over five hundred requests for assistance across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

During the peak on Sunday, in excess of 28k power users in Victoria were experiencing outages.
Meteorological Predictions
Damp conditions were expected to linger along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
The following day was expected to become the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across different parts of both regions.
Health Warning
Health officials alerted that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
